Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
This policy explains what Artefact Textiles ("we", "us") collects when you use artefacttextile.com or order from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a small custom printing shop in Costa Mesa, California. We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Order and quote details you give us: your name, mobile number, email, pickup or delivery choice, need-by date, notes, and what you're ordering.
- Files you upload: logos, artwork and sketches for printing.
- Payment: payments are handled by Stripe. We see that you paid, the amount, and limited card details (like the brand and last four digits). We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't run analytics or ad tracking.
We only ask for what we need to make and deliver your order. Fields marked optional are truly optional.
How we use it
- To quote, make, and hand off your order, including texting you mockups and status updates.
- To take payment and issue refunds.
- To keep the business records that tax and accounting rules require.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
We don't send marketing emails or texts. If we ever start, it will only be with your permission, and every message will include a way to unsubscribe.
Texts and calls
When you give us your mobile number with an order or quote request, we'll call or text that number about that order or request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or tell us by email.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the shop, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, file storage, and security.
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Our email provider — to receive your order and reply to you.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs — when your browser loads our fonts and 3D graphics, these services receive your IP address, like any web request.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if the business is sold or reorganized. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We don't set advertising or analytics cookies. Here's everything the site stores on your device:
- Your last order number — after you pay online, we save your order number in your browser's local storage so the "My order" lookup can fill it in. It never leaves your device unless you look up your order. You can clear it anytime in your browser settings.
- Security cookies — Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to block bots and attacks.
- Stripe — Stripe's checkout page (on stripe.com) sets its own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention.
Because we only use strictly necessary storage, we don't show a cookie consent banner. If that ever changes, we'll ask first.
Do Not Track: we don't track you across other sites, so there's nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing, which we don't do anyway.
How long we keep it
We keep order records (what you ordered, what you paid, and your contact details) as long as tax and accounting rules require, generally about four years. We keep your artwork files so you can reorder easily, and we'll delete them anytime you ask. Quote requests that don't become orders are deleted within one year.
Your choices, including deleting your data
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we have about you and give you a copy,
- correct anything that's wrong, or
- delete your information and uploaded files.
We'll confirm it's really you (usually by replying to the phone or email on your order) and respond within 45 days. We may keep the minimum we're legally required to, like tax records, and we'll tell you if we do. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
Children
This site is meant for adults and businesses, and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. Customers under 18 should have a parent or guardian place the order. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, payments run on Stripe, and only we can access your order files. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. Big changes will be noted on the site.
